The Saints are Close to Us
The saints are alive and are so close to us, if only we would be spiritually tuned to the otherworld. When this world and the other world overlap, we see a glimpse into the Lord and His saints and angels, and how they are operating in our lives. The following is a letter we recently received from a reader. When I first read this, it gave me chills, followed by tears of amazement and gratitude.
Hello,
I thank you for all you do and helping me with my prayer rope. I wanted to tell you something. I’ll keep it brief, as you must be exceedingly busy. When I first bought the Youth of the Apocalypse book it came with an icon of Saint Marina of Antioch. I’ve had this small icon sitting on my bureau for about 9 months now. I recently donated my kidney to a brother who was in need, in obedience to the Holy Spirit, and I’ve been home recovering. I had the surgery on June 3rd. This morning for some reason I was drawn to this icon of Saint Marina so I decided to look up her story and read about her. To my amazement I found that she is the patron Saint of people with kidney disease. After I was done weeping, I asked for her intercession, and to pray for the recipient of my kidney, and to help me heal. Saint Marina called on me today and I’m so grateful to you for your hand in it.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a Sinner.
